the notion that people can gather at a table and collaborate but still maintain their individuality...much like how the branches of a tree come together to form the trunk and then reach back into the earth in search of something deeper, something greater, is very powerful and is the catalyst for this project.

ELEPHANTS ARE STRONG AND INTELLIGENT ANIMALS, THEY IMPACT THE KENYAN LANDSCAPE IN ONLY POSITIVE WAYS. BY SITTING AT THE TEMBO DESK, CHILDREN ARE REMINDED OF THE UPLIFTING NATURE OF THE ELEPHANT, SO THAT THEY MAY LEARN AND PAVE THEIR OWN WAY THROUGH THE LANDSCAPE SIDE BY SIDE THESE MAJESTIC BEINGS.
*designed for the david sheldrick wildlife trust, these desks will be used by children in an on site classroom.
